Skipper "Helm" Sailing Course
National Keelboat Scheme
Advance your sailing skills and gain your certificate of competency so that you can enjoy skippering a yacht with friends and family.
Our National Keelboat "Helm" course certificate is a pre-requisite coourse. This is a challenging course full of practical skills development and vital information for skippering any yacht.

Our students board our yacht from Kirribilli at 9.00 am, returning at 3.00pm, for each of the 2 days.
Students bring their own lunch - sunscreen and a hat is strongly recommended. We will provide wet weather jackets if required.
On completion you will receive a Yachting Australia course completion certificate for the National Keelboat "Helm" Scheme. Cost is $470 per person, plus $35 for the compulsory Log and Text books.

YA is Australia's Sailing Industry peak body for the promotion of sailing and governing standards. YA has recently introduced a revised Sailing School program called "National Keel Boat Scheme."
The National Keelboat Scheme is an Internationally recognised training standard designed to develop sailing competancy skills for people wanting to sail yachts (sailing boats with keels), from learn to sail through to advanced.
Eastcoast Sailing is one of the few schools in NSW to be accredited to this new internationally recognised standard.
